“A neat and beautiful skin is our best business card and health sign”.
The skin is the largest organ and performs many functions: barrier / protective (immunological), metabolic (synthesis of vitamin D), thermoregulatory, sensory, repair (healing) and aesthetic function.
A well-groomed and beautiful skin is our best business card and health sign.
Cutaneous aging is a complex phenomenon conditioned by one's own age, sun exposure, hormonal status and exposure to drugs such as tobacco.
How does the skin change with aging?
- Epidermal thinning and appearance of wrinkles
- Increase in size of melanocytes, showing spots, lentigines and hyperpigmentation
- Changes in the connective tissue reducing the resistance and elasticity of the skin (solar elastosis) and appearing comedones, cysts...
- The sebaceous glands produce less oil but hypertrophy, as a result it is difficult to keep the skin moist which causes dryness and itching
- Vascular changes: telangiectasias, rubies spots, venous lakes ...
- Carcinogenesis: actinic keratosis and skin cancer.
That is why the therapeutic targets are varied and the treatments must be combined to achieve a good rejuvenation of the skin.
Considerations
of Dra. Leonor Escribano
Skin care greatly improves a person's appearance. Careful skin, free of spots, irregularities, acne, enlarged pores ... is a skin that radiates health and youth. All rejuvenation protocols should be initiated by skin care. For this we have different surface and middle peeling tools, mesotherapy with vitamins and hyaluronic acid not reticulated, facial revitalization with dermapen, photodynamic therapy and other sources of light ... The most important thing is to individualize each treatment to each patient in order to get the best results
