What is a Rhinoplasty?

A Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed on the nose to change its shape, size, form and even function. This procedure is used to help patients acquire a more cosmetically appealing nose and improve their self-image.

Do I need to get tested before a Rhinoplasty?

Before surgery, you will have an appointment with the anesthesiologist, who will run certain tests known as pre-anesthesia in order to know if you are good for surgery.

What type of anesthesia will be used for a Rhinoplasty?

For a Rhinoplasty we use general anesthesia in all the cases.

Should I stop taking any medication before my Rhinoplasty?

If you take any medication you should continue to take it, even on the day of your surgery. However, if you take aspirin or any of its derivatives you should stop taking it 14 days before the surgery to reduce the risk of bleeding.
