Aging eyelids due to age occurs by the loss of skin elasticity and fat accumulation with two consequences resulting:

Sad looking appearance, due to the fall of upper eyelid skin above your natural crease, especially on the lateral side.

Appearance of tired face, by relaxing the lower periorbital skin with visible wrinkles and appearance of puffines in the lower eyelid fat.

What is a Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)?

A blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure performed on the eyelids (upper/lower). Is the most common facial rejuvenation surgery made by Dr. Cabrera with a great experience. For upper eyelids, Dr. Cabrera uses a technique that achieves an outcome very natural, avoiding the appearance of operated eye. For lower eyelids, Dr. Cabrera uses transconjuntival blefaroplasty (internal approach), in order to avoid the possibe complications of lower eyelid scarring, so as not to leave visible scars.

The best way to decide if you are a good candidate for a blepharoplasty or not is to look in the mirror. If you look older than you are and with tired eyes, a blefaroplasty must be the answer.
